वाणिज्य बैंकहरुले गैरबैंकिङ सम्पत्तिको लिलाम बिक्रीसँगै ऋण असुलीमा सुधार गर्दैगर्दा फाइनान्स कम्पनीहरु यस मामिलामा पछि नै देखिएका छन्।

महालेखा नियन्त्रक कार्यालयका अनुसार पुस मसान्तसम्ममा वार्षिक लक्ष्यको तुलनामा केन्द्र सरकारको आम्दानी ३८ र खर्च ३५ प्रतिशतमा खुम्चिएको छ।

यसदिन १२५ कम्पनीको सेयर मूल्य बढेको छ । १२४ कम्पनीको सेयर मूल्य घटेको छ भने ११ कम्पनीको मूल्य स्थिर रह्यो ।

बैंक र वित्तीय संस्थामा तरलता अधिक भएपछि केवल निक्षेप संकलन गर्दै आएको केन्द्रीय बैंकले अब व्यवस्थापन रणनीति परिवर्तन गरेको हो।

आज कारोबार भएका कम्पनीहरूमध्ये ११८ वटा कम्पनीको सेयर मूल्य बढेको छ भने १३४ वटा कम्पनीको मूल्य घटेको छ।

सामान्यतया बैंकहरूको ब्याजदर दोहोरो अंकमा हुँदा कम्पनीहरूले बैंकमा गर्ने निक्षेप लगानीलाई सुरक्षित लगानीको रुपमा लिने गरिएको थियो।

नेपाल बिमा प्राधिकरणले सर्कुलर जारी गर्दै माघ १ गतेबाट सोझै सम्बन्धित व्यक्ति वा संस्थाको बैंक खातामा अनिवार्य रुपमा विद्युतीय प्रणालीमार्फत गर्ने व्यवस्था मिलाउन निर्देशन दिएको हो।

Within days of the Ujyalo Nepal Party’s (UNP) merger with the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the newly unified force confronts factional issues as it faces questions over the selection of candidates for the proportional representation category of the March elections.

Some of the proposed candidates have withdrawn their names after the party was widely criticised for recommending individuals from well-off backgrounds under the inclusive category meant for underrepresented and underprivileged sections or society.

The Rabi Lamichhane-led RSP and the UNP, which is backed by Energy Minister Kulman Ghising, forged a unity deal on December 29, the final day given by the Election Commission for the parties to submit the list of candidates under the PR category.

But members from the UNP side became unhappy upon knowing the names on the list submitted to the commission.

Amid the discontent in the faction coming from the UNP, leaders from the group visited the Election Commission on Friday to inquire whether it was possible to submit their own list, according to Anup Kumar Updhaya, who chaired UNP before its merger with the RSP.

The gap between wholesale and retail prices of vegetables has been widening, with consumers bearing the brunt of weak market monitoring and inspection.

Market insiders say the government has failed in its responsibility—particularly of regulating markets—allowing middlemen and retailers to rake in profits. While wholesale prices at the Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market have fallen for most vegetables, retail prices have refused to come down proportionately.

For instance, the wholesale price of local and Tarai cabbage at Kalimati has dropped by around 40 percent. On Friday, local cabbage was priced at Rs40 per kg and Tarai cabbage at Rs30 per kg. In retail markets, however, cabbage was selling for Rs90 to Rs100 per kg—more than double the wholesale rate.

Likewise, wholesale prices of local and Tarai cauliflower declined by 12.86 percent and 16.67 percent to Rs61 per kg and Rs50 per kg, respectively. In retail outlets, cauliflower costs between Rs160 and Rs170 per kg.

Eggplant prices at the wholesale level declined by 13.15 percent to Rs55 per kg and by 9.43 percent to Rs60 per kg. Yet consumers have to cough up Rs110 to Rs120 per kg in retail markets.
